Forget the tiger - put sheep urine in your tank
A British bus company is testing a new secret weapon that it hopes will help forward its push to cut its polluting emissions - sheep urine.
Stagecoach has fitted a bus in Winchester with a tank containing the animal waste, which is sprayed into exhaust fumes to reduce emissions of harmful nitrous oxides.
Andrew Dyer, managing director of Stagecoach South, said: "It is a novel way of reducing pollution but we believe it will work. There is nothing to worry about - we won't be asking passengers to leave a sample and we won't be carrying a resident sheep at the back of the bus."
The urine is collected by the fertiliser industry from farmyard waste and refined into pure urea, which is then sold on to be used in the green engine technology. Ammonia from the urea reacts with nitrous oxides in the exhaust fumes and converts them to nitrogen gas and water, which is released as steam.

No Pants Day 2005 is May 6th
A new international holiday is beating the pants off of all the other holidays for students.
Although it turns out some kids got detention for putting up fliers for No Pants Day. This, of course, led to more press/publicity for our beloved holiday. Remember, if your school and/or work says no to no pants, there's nothing to stop you from having a killer party afterwards.
Remember - the first Friday in May.

Passing Cats
Pat has lost one of her remaining cats to stroke. It went quickly. It was a month shy of 19 years. She is down to one after at one time having 15 indoor cats.
WIL WHEATON also lost a cat recently.

Catching the Frauds and Phishers
I have seen an enormous increase of increasingly sophisticated email scams. If you receive an email from a bank or Paypal or any financial institution asking you to 'click here' to update security information etc. - don't. It is a fake site to steal your identification. The link above is to a site that is an email service that has to combat and note this as fraud because they are so convincing most users think they are not spam.
