The Paper of Record Breaks Records
The New York Times has broken my links to their stories in my archives this week by moving their stories behind fire walls and instituting a charge. I was not not only one blindsided by this. Dave Winer is suggesting the BBC as a source for more stories. I do not know if the Wayback Machine will have the original records. Website owners can request their pages be removed.
Reminds me a little of my Uncle and Dad removing their phone numbers from google so people can't find out who they are. I have always thought that was a good feature and have used it quite a bit to remember addresses.
