Instead of like Yahoo using other people who like your songs, artists, albums and genres to get similar songs and then adding popular or promoted songs on their own, Pandora is using the music genome project which attempts to describe characteristics of a song to find similar songs. If there is any fault it is that the music does all sound the same until you have a variety of songs in it.
