Science versus gambling

For sale for £1,000: gadget that means you'll never lose at roulette again

My brother Jim and I read about a MIT student group that developed a device hidden in a shoe that did this years ago and were making money until they were banned from gambling. It looks like Britain has decided not to outlaw the devices which have continued to advance.

MIT has a long history of mathematically based gamblers. There were previous books on the professors, students and dropouts who became early blackjack card counters and also reportedly made millions before being banned. Many went on into even more lucrative professions such as the stock market.
