New documentary to capture the history of Anderson Fair - Chron.com
"I used to get really, really nervous to play here," [Lyle] Lovett said on a video clip. "It's almost like you don't want to let the place down. You don't want to let Anderson Fair down."

[Nanci] Griffith did more than agree to appear in the film. Last June, she returned to Anderson Fair for two nights of fundraising concerts.

"Anderson Fair, in a historical context for American music, is as important as the Grand Ole Opry is to country music," she said. "It's as important as the National Songwriter's Hall of Fame. ... New Orleans has Preservation Hall. Ann Arbor, Mich., has the Ark. Boston has Passim's. Los Angeles has McCabe's. Houston has Anderson Fair."
Pasadena had Gilley's....
