SCI-FI Media News

Steven Spielberg will redo Ghost in the Shell as a live action 3-D movie. Spielberg has been a big fan of Ghost in the Shell and Dreamworks purchased the rights over competing studios.

I don't know why but when I first saw the headline "DreamWorks to make 'Ghost' in 3-D" I thought he was going to redo the Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore 1990 movie Ghost in 3-D.

You can keep up with a lot of genre media news at SCI-FI Weekly.

The next Futurama movie is out. The review says very funny if not as original or good as the first movie that returned the series.

Twilight -
the big buzz in nerdy girly circles. But this is no Buffy:
Otherwise directionless and unsure of herself, Bella's only distinguishing trait is her clumsiness, about which she makes frequent self-deprecating jokes. But Bella is not really the point of the Twilight series; she's more of a place holder than a character. She is purposely made as featureless and ordinary as possible in order to render her a vacant, flexible skin into which the reader can insert herself and thereby vicariously enjoy Edward's chilly charms.
UNMEDIA - NASA confirms water on Mars. I don't think this is a big deal as the big surprise would have been the opposite. Other friends disagree.
