WOW! Pumpernickel Bread


1 cup Buttermilk
2 tsp baking soda
2 tbs vegetable oil
2 tbs molasses
1 tbs brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp caraway seeds
2 tbs dark chocolate
1 cup rye flour
1 1/2 cup bread flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tbs vital gluten
1 1/2 tsp yeast
1/8 cup raisins

Bread machine light crust/ wheat flour setting
Add 30 min check the ball and add bread flour or liquid if necessary. I added 1/8 cup water. Raisins mostly melt into the bread.



Fresh Wow! Pumpernickel Bread with Mexican Vegetable soup. Soup is before fresh lime and cilantro added.

Mexican Vegetable Soup

Whatever vegetables you have for the crock pot as long as they include cabbage, a jalepano pepper and Mexican squash.

This soup had:
4 Mexican Squash
4 carrots
1 green pepper
1/2 ear corn
1/3 cabbage head
1 large jalapeno pepper
2 bay leaves
1 veg bouillion
1 low salt chicken bouillion
1 tbl seeds like caraway or cumin
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp Spicy Msrs Dash

Chop up and cook in crock pot all day.

Serve with chopped cilintro and a slice of lime.
