Pasadena Citizen -- Gas Prices Rise
Anticipation of war with Iraq coupled with decreasing shipments of gasoline from Venezuela have caused gas prices to skyrocket with no relief in sight.
While only one year ago gas cost $1.06 a gallon for regular unleaded, AAA reports that price has jumped to $1.58 a gallon in Houston and surrounding areas including Pasadena. The cost of gas increased 16 cents in the last month alone, and diesel gasoline has reached an all-time high of $1.67 a gallon.
