Mapping Update

Google Maps now lets you drag and drop to change your route selection in creating directions. Until you get used to it you may end up creating loops and backups. The secret is to erase the erroneous stops that get accidentally added on the left directions pane.

An example is here.

Suppose I don't want to take the toll road or 8 feeder to I-45. I would drag the first beltway 8 intersection to East and 225. Then if I want to avoid 45 through downtown Houston I would drag the I-45 and 610 intersection north to 610 and I-10. I end up with this.
